CLASSICAL FOLK JAZZ FILM / THEATRE SONGS BY YOURS TRULY

Antony Milledge and the Westmorland Youth Orchestra

Recorded: The World Premier of ‘Musick’s Empire’ by Anthony Milledge commissioned to celebrate the Westmorland Youth Orchestra’s 60th Anniversary. The Amabile Girl’s Choir (BBC Radio 3 youth choir of the year, Nov 2006) took part in the performance. Directed by Noel Bertram.

Antony Milledge: “The recording is excellent. You have managed to get the quietest of sounds and the full ensemble with great clarity. The choir is heard easily over the orchestra and the tone quality is superb. I have played it to many friends, both those who were at the concert and others who weren't. All agree it is an excellent piece of work. Whatever technique you used is a winner as far as I am concerned. Certainly if I need any concert recording I will call on you.”

Rachel Little

Rachel studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama with Patricia MacMahon and at the Royal College of Music with Eiddwen Harrhy. An experienced oratorio singer, she has performed extensively in venues from The Royal Albert Hall and The Barbican to the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and St. Patrick’s Cathedral Dublin.

She was the soprano soloist for a BBC Radio 3 recording of Haydn’s The Creation, conducted by Sir Philip Ledger, and the soloist for two BAFTA award-winning film sound tracks Transition and American Cousins, both composed by Donald Shaw.

Recorded: A full length album showcasing a selection of Rachel’s work.

Rachel Little: "Rob did a fantastic job editing and recording my CD. He is incredibly knowledgeable and very easy to work with. We did a location recording and despite having to change the venue on the day, Rob was completely unfazed and put us all at ease with his relaxed, professional manner. I am delighted with the results he produced and can't recommend him highly enough."

Flutes & Co

Directed by Suzanne de Lozey, Flutes & Co is a flute orchestra which performs regularly in Cumbria.

Recorded: A full length CD showcasing a variety of the group’s repertoire. Their CD is sold at their concerts and some of the recordings have been aired on BBC Radio 3.

Suzanne de Lozey: “Recording our 24-piece flute orchestra with an errant double bass player in the lovely surroundings of Cartmel Priory was one of the highlights of the year for both me and my players. Rob has a very amenable approach and was easy to work with and play for. Mixing afterwards was a fascinating experience and which showed Rob's talents off to the full. He is an easy guy to work with, full of creative ideas, attentive to detail and enthusiastic about getting the best from you. Wholly recommendable!”
